Our Co-Founders

Kaylie

Kaylie is an LA-based wellness provider and artist endlessly exploring personal development through wellness practices and artistic expression.

After the loss of her cousin in 2018, she explored her wellness practices by getting Reiki attuned, studying her 200hr yoga teacher training and supplemental 65hr yoga sculpt training. She has studied and has worked with Jeralyn Glass of Crystal Cadence since 2020, learning the key elements of using Crystal Alchemy Singing Bowls for sound healing experiences.

Kaylie has been in the professional beauty industry for over 10 years, working for brands like Bliss, Kate Somerville, Thrive Causemetics and more. After over a decade of Global Brand Development & Marketing experience, creating products and campaigns for brands, she decided to integrate more hands-on healing for clients by getting her Esthetician license. With the knowledge of cosmetic chemistry and ingredients she can serve clients with the best products along with a structured regimen with education to bring home after their services. She is passionate in educating on the benefits of product ingredients and aiding in the journey of improving overall skin health.

Subtle Senses comes from the desire to find a way to merge all of these practices, passions and experiences to share her 360° approach to holistic wellness.

Suz

Suz’s work/life pendulum is always swinging between creativity and compassion. In 2020, she began envisioning a creative space that could hold both artistry and healing. By 2021, she was co-hosting Retreat Day in her home — small, intimate gatherings that combined sound baths with artistic experiences like watercolor and collage. These early circles nurtured her love for creating safe, communal spaces and helped foster the transition into a larger, more consistent rhythm of gathering. Now, as she steps into her role as Founder and Creative Director of Subtle Senses, a wellness studio in Los Angeles, she is excited to build a thriving, connected community rooted in creative expression, sound, movement and ritual.

Suz is an artist and designer with a background in psychology and interior design. She has a passion for watercolor like textures and feminine forms. She shares, “watercolor invites us to explore the way colors blend into something unexpected and beautiful, encouraging us to let go of control and trust the fluidity of the medium to do the work for us.” Her aim is to create work that feels embracing and captures a glimpse of a subject's true essence.

Alongside her art, Suz has studied Ayurveda and sound healing, and is fascinated by — and currently studying — astrocartography. These threads weave into both her creative practice and the evolving ethos of Subtle Senses.
